Driver Expectations
The goal of these points is to remind the drivers of what we expect and to create clarity.
• Home Time – We strive to make it possible for our drivers to be home weekends if they prefer. As a general rule your week will start Sun night or Mon morning and you will be out till Fri afternoon/ evening. We give our drivers the option of going home nights during the week, provided that this will not interfere with making delivery times within legal HOS and will not add a significant amount of miles to the trip route.
• Work Environment – We strive to provide a healthy work environment for all employees. You can do your part to help maintain this.
1. Have a POSITIVE, “CAN DO” attitude
2. Don’t Gossip – If there is problems that you feel need addressed, talk to someone who will be able to fix the problem.
3. Be A Team Player – Some of our loads are drop and hook. You can help prevent problems in this system by keeping the equipment on the trailer organized and the neat. The condition of the trailer and equipment on it should be how you like it to be if you were the one picking it up. (Take the straps off the winches, roll up tarps properly and put them in the sideboxes.
4. Communication – Let the fleet manager know when your truck needs repaired. Don’t let things pile up.
Pay Rewards
• To help promote a healthy, positive work environment, we reward for good attitudes and performance.
• If you bring a driver to our company, we will reward you $300.00 after he has been here 90 days
• If you are a salesman and get us a new direct customer (not a freight broker) we will reward you $300.00 after we complete 2 loads for them. We have business cards that you can hand out. Tell the customer to call the office and use your name as a referral.
• If you maintain clean logs (no violations, missing signatures, missing 30 min breaks etc.) for a 6 month period, we will reward you $600.00. For every month after the 6 months that you continue to maintain clean logs you will receive $100.00.
• To potentially maximize your take home pay. You need to be willing to be flexible with the type of loads you do and what freight lanes you run. We want you to be able to enjoy your job and be able to do it within legal HOS, however it is important to understand that some lanes pay more than others and the more you limit your options the more you limit your paycheck.
